RELIEFBED SEEKS DONATIONS TO PROVIDE BEDS FOR HURRICANE AID…..

TACOMA, Wash. – ReliefBed International founder Scott Smalling says his company is ready to help people displaced by Hurricane Harvey find a comfortable place to sleep. But he needs some help to do that.

Relief Bed was founded in 2015 with a goal of providing beds to relief agencies and homeless shelters. To date the company has distributed more than 7,000 beds, pads and mats to those agencies. In recent months its main focus has been supporting homeless shelters in the U.S., Smalling said.

Smalling said that ReliefBed partners are visiting the flood-ravaged areas to provide immediate feedback on shelters that need its products.

Please help us provide a comfortable place to sleep to those in need, Smalling said. You can visit www.reliefbed.org/donate, or you can contact me directly at scott@reliefbed.com if you would like to make a corporate donation.

Smalling spent the past 30 years in the bedding and specialty foams market. He was the founder of the ComforPedic brand, which manufactured and marketed premium priced memory foam mattresses. While at the helm of ComforPedic, Smalling felt most fulfilled when he was leading outreach and disaster relief projects throughout the U.S., he said.
